Since the last entry, we stayed in Brela for a few days and went to Makarska at night for dinners and coffee/beers. We rented a boat yesterday and went along the coast near Brela. We went to some secluded beaches and snorkeled. Not much to see in these waters.

Today we drove to Omis - our formerly favorite town. Spent the day there hiking up to this castle. The beaches in Omis were not as great as we expected. We're in Split now and bought our tickets to Korcula (an island). We have no idea what it's like there but we'll find out soon. We're probably going to separate ways with Letti and Ume tonight.

Fortunately no new car incidents to report...

Your trip so far sounds like it has been eventful. It is really fun reading your travel blog. Now I get to see what it's like on the other side of the blog! Have fun on Korcula.

Paul,

It seems you are having fun. Maybe if you rent Prius Pete would be driving better.

I have a story about city of Makarska. When I was 4 years old my father lost me there. Red Cross found me the next day and returned me to my parents (I am not sure if they wanted me back).

Thanks Kristin.

Ilija, people here look and talk like you. Crazy! They even like a lot of salt on their meat! I have to say though the food here has been bland. Lots of meat and french fries. Not a lot of flavor. Thailand was better for food.
